I just learned about this really great holiday called World Water Day. Has anyone here heard of it? It was created by the UN and is celebrated every March 22nd to help bring attention to the importance of fresh water. Just thought I’d share this so more people would know. Are there any events around this? Check it out here:

Really interesting post, thanks for sharing! Before reading this I had never heard of World Water Day, but it’s something I think everyone should observe. I went to the link you posted and found this: https://www.unwater.org/publications/un-water-policy-brief-on-climate-change-and-water/ which was really cool. We should definitely all do our part to conserve water, even though those of us on the Island who have a good source.

World Water Day is coming up soon! This years theme involves the value of water, beyond just the price. I remember when the the pandemic started, many people in my area were scared that the virus could be transmitted through drinking water. Our water supplier reassured us that there was no risk to public water supply, but it was a reminder of how precious water is. We need water to survive; we need to stop taking water for granted and to start taking better care of our planet.
