I’m a Babylon resident, and I’ve been noticing that my neighbors who started watering their lawns already will water on windy days. When they do this, I see that the water from the sprinklers gets blown into the streets and is wasted. A great water tip that I found, and practice, is to avoid watering on windy days.

That is a great observation! Unfortunately a lot of people do not check the weather to assess whether of not it is appropriate to water their lawns. For example, many people with sprinklers on timed schedules will water their lawns on days that it rains.
